I've raised several kinds of poultry on a farm in Oklahoma. I've recently moved back into town where I own a home on about a 3rd of an acre but I miss my chickens. I am getting a permit for them in town and one of the codes is I am to use the usual deoderizing spray to keep down the odor. I have questioned the city and they don't recomend a particular spray? I don't really think they know about raising chickens. I normally keep their pens clean, use pine shavings for the floor and horse stall deoderizer. Any other suggestions out there?

I've never heard of a deodorizing spray for chicken coops, I would think you would need to spray often. See if there is any info, in the Learning Center. I know some people use stall dri and the deep litter method. There are pros and cons to anything.

! Pleased you joined us! I am not sure what deodorizing spray there is for chickens...but I do know that my local Orscheln's store sells something called Coop n' Compost which purports itself to be a coop odor neutralizer. Supposed to break down the poop before it gets too smelly. I've not tried it but it might be worth a try! Good luck to you!!
