Chicken Mama since April 2022

Glad to meet you, and welcome to BYC. What a lucky thing your daughter found those chicks when she did! Usually, they are held at the post office and the postal employees call for you to pick them up. It must get very chirpy in post offices all around in spring!

How nice that your son is really enjoying the chickens and taking good care of them. That is such a handsome rooster in your avatar picture. Is that one of yours? So beautiful! Do the two roosters get along so far? I hope it continues!

You may enjoy reading about roosters in this article from one of our members, Shadrach.

Best wishes with your nearly frozen birds!

Hello! I'm from Canada and my daughter found our chickens disposed of in a small Amazon box on April 1st at our community mail boxes. It was 7:30 at night and still dropping below 0°C at night. Our babies were estimated to only be a day or two old. They turned out to be 2 Roos and 2 hens. I love being a chicken mama and my son loves them so much! He is 13 and he takes such good care of them!
Awe what a cute story! Like it was meant to be.:thumbsup I love having chickens and their personalities? I'm so glad your son likes them what a great thing to learn at that age. WELCOME.
