Chicken math....

Last year I bought 12 day-old pullets, and got 17 due to extras.

I ended up with 7 due to naughty dogs.

I got a cochin cockeral and pullet this winter. = 9

+ 14 babies hatched this spring

= 35 chickens and chicks! In one year. And I am filling the bator as we speak...

And to think, when I started, all I wanted was 12!!

But But But there is this kind and that kind and oooohhhh I want one of those but I have to have a couple and a roo to go with them and and and and........................................

But according to chicken math (when over 10 you add the numbers together), 35=8, so you still need more chickens to equal 12
