We've been reading "Still Life with Chickens: Starting Over in a House by the Sea" by Catherine Goldhammer and it is very funny.

We enjoyed "Hen and the Art of Chicken Maintenance" by Martin Gurdon.

Anyone else have good chicken book suggestions?

Thanks!

I just finished "Still Life with Chickens" and loved it! I could so identify with her chicken stories, especially the part when she went to the feed store to picj up her chicks! I must not live too far away from her, in southern NH, and so much of what she wrote seemed familiar. I started the book last night and finished it today-I couldn't put it down. Now I need to do a search and see if there really is a "Wes in Texas" here on the forum.
Cheers,
Terry

I'm a quarter of the way through "the Chicken Book" by Paige Smith and Charles Daniel. It's a wonderful intellectual treatise about the much maligned, humble chicken. Wonderful read so far!!!
