Chicken molting and grower feed

Can I give my molting chickens grower feed along with layer feed for more protein?

Ya, that is what a lot of people do, just mix a higher protein chicken/ game bird feed with the Layer... just have oyster shell available to the girls on the side in case some are still laying and need the calcium.

Preferably non-medicated.

You might give them some hard-boiled egg, shell and all, crushed up real finely...they go crazy for it and it gives them a real boost during molting.
