Chicken Newby from South Dakota

Hi all. I am looking forward to all I have to learn from the forum.
I live in south east South Dakota. I have 5 acres on the edge of a decent sized city. It feels like the country but I'm actually in the city limits.
I have 3 Rhode Island Reds, 2 White Leghorns and one Barred Rock. I also just bought 6 baby chicks that I think are Barred Rocks.
