Hi all!! I am New to having backyard chickens. But am loving it my girls are amazing and fun to learn and watch!!ok back to my question... I have 3 Issa brown chickens who are about 19-20 weeks. 2 of our girls have been laying eggs for the past 2 weeks like clock work. The third one has layed 2 thin eggs that have both cracked about a week ago and has not layed since? I am not sure why or what to do. The lat time she layed over a week ago she was in her run pecking at the ground when she let out a loud sound and out came a egg. It was very weird and funny. She started pecking at it till I took it away. I did not save it as the egg shell was so thin it basically cracked in my hand. Any advice on what to do? I started giving them oyster shell as well as gritt. But still nothing. Not sure if I should be worried? Thank you!

Do not worry yet. This is OK for new layers. Keep offering the oyster shells on the side and provide her with a complete chicken feed, very small amount, if any at all treats and wait. She will get regular soon. Proper diet is very important.
