Hi all! My Black Australorp hen struggled with wry neck since last summer. I had been treating her with vitamins and foods that contain selenium. She was almost completely better in December. I quit treatment and since then she was completely fine.

But she hasn't laid since this began last summer. She acts fine, she eats Purina Layena feed, and drinks just fine. Maybe she is just on a long road to a complete recovery? She is 2 years old.

Here is the thread from a few months ago about "Bibby" (my BA hen) :

Thank you all so much in advance! :)

I'm glad to hear Bibby is doing good!

There's just really no way to know when/if she will resume laying eggs. Since she is acting o.k., eating/drinking - then personally I would just enjoy her, wait and see if she starts laying when the weather gets warmer.

One of my 3 Golden Comets quit laying last May at 25 months old.
So don't be surprised if she doesn't lay.
Here are my Comets. 20190211_131512.jpg . The hen on the right is retired. They are 34 months old.
Her 2 sisters laid 13 eggs last week. GC
