We obtained a Wydonnette (sp?) chicken almost a year ago. All of her tail feathers had been plucked out by the overcrowding situation she was in, supposedly (we got 3 of these hens) all were laying. We gave two away due to agressive behavior and kept this more passive one. She has never laid an egg. Every day she sits in her spot clucks away, then gets up and goes along her way. Later on the same day (this is every day) she sits again in her spot and clucks away for about 15 -20 min and acts like she is laying but nothing comes of this behavior, sometimes she really hollers out (loud chicken). I feel sorry for her, she tries at least 2 to 3 times a day and nothing. Is there something stuck or will she just never produce the egg? We are still relatively new to this. She is coupled in with our Easter Egger (also picked on by the ones we gave away) and she is laying every day! Happy Happy Happy chicken for sure. We have a second bigger coup with one Rue (oops should have been all hens) and 5 Road Island Reds and two Americanas. The RIs were 1 day old when we got them and all the girls are starting to lay, again Happy Happy Happy girls, even "Bob" our rue is happy...What can I do for our Wydonnette? Help please?? Thanks all...
