Chicken only eats when im around

Hi, I bought a white rock pullet last week and I'm integrating her into one of my flocks. Most of the pecking has stopped but she won't come down from the roost unless I'm around. She won't even eat or drink without me. She still seems pretty nervous sometimes. My only concern is that I start school next week and don't have time every morning to let her do her rounds of eating and drinking for 10 min before she goes back up. Any advice on how to get her to stop staying on the roost.
