well I can confirm it is not only a CHICKEN but its actually a COCKEREL

soon to be a ROOSTER when its over 1 year old

It is for sure a chicken. As for rooster. hmmm I think I am going to guess hen.

Yes sorry it is a chicken. My husband says hen but it has the pointy feathers on the neck, and it is much lighter than the other barred rock.

I was guessing hen because I didnt see any pointy feathers near the tail but then again I am only learning!
