I’ve had my 2 hens living on my ground level screened in porch for 3-4 weeks. I had to order some parts to convert an old dog run and finally got everything in so we could complete the project. I had 2 10x10 Retriever brand dog pens. We combined those and put a Retriever brand cover on the front half and a shade cover on the back half. We moved our Snaplock coop in and set it on the ground. Eventually we will put it up on a stand, but in an interest of getting it all done we are leaving it as is for now. The bonus part is that the kennel panels have an option to remove various panels. This was designed so you could add one of their doghouses to the outside of the run. In a fluke of luck, it just so happens the nesting box on the Snaplock fits perfectly in that spot. So we stuck it through and can get eggs from outside! When we put the coop up in a stand we can flip that panel up and still have access. Right now I just have 2 hens in there. The chicks are 5 weeks old so will move in there later in the summer.

Sine we don’t need the second nesting box for now we are putting the feeder and waterer in there. I took the top off for the pic, but they do fit with the top on.
