Chicken persecution in my town

My wifes cousin lives about 3/4 of a mile from us and his land, like ours, is zoned Residential/Agricultural.

Developers built a 200 home subdivision on property ajoining his. people in the new neighborhood complained to the county officials about his 2 roosters crowing and it wound up in court.

Because of the zoning he won hands down.
2 days later he went out and bought a jackass.
We can hear him bray at our house like he's in the living room!

His neighbors keep their mouth shut because he told them next time he would get 5 more, plus about 10 peacocks

I am all for chickens, I live in LA County. I have heard roosters crowing at 2am! Yes it wakes me up. Sound seems to carry alot better in an urban environment. Concrete seems to bounce it REALLY well. Not to mention that the yards in So Cal are small. I do not own any roosters. Southern California has ALOT of light at night, so the birds are up at all times of the night and day.

It doesn't shock me in the least that a City (County) is trying to get jail time over this. They have had cops bust up and cite kids for having lemonade stands...... You know you don't have a business license to sell that right.....

You gotta love people moving from the city to the suburbs to find that their suburbs is really within some gates in the middle of the country... and they can't stand the country

I have a rooster that I can whistle at and he will crow, want to borrow him? If that won't get there are 6 100 lb american bulldogs that bark at each other out of bordem. Oh ya we can make some SERIOUS noise around here if need be!!!
