Chicken poop

Awesome title I know but I didn't know what else to put haha

Several of our chickens poop are yellow/orangish frothy poop.
Typically what causes this? Worms?
We bought strike dewormer to mix with their food but I haven't seen much improvement. It also has only been a few days.

Sometimes a photo will help.

If you feel like it is worms you may want to us a dewormer like Valbazen 1/2 ml orally and then repeated in 10 days for each chicken or Fenbendazole (Safeguard, Panacur) at 1/4 ml per pound for 5 days in a row.

You can always take a fecal sample to your local vet to have them do a float, they will be able to tell you which/if any parasites are present.

Yes.....cecal poops can be frothy and orangeish.

Don't use wormers/meds without knowing what you are treating or you can cause resistance and they won't work when you really need them.

Fecal testing is a very good idea...here's another option for that:

Also a note on dewormers. I am no expert on ingredients, medications, etc., I try my best to research active ingredients in products that I give my own chickens, as well as, what I may or may not suggest here on BYC. I encourage everyone to do the same and not take anyone's word at face value. (Even manufacturers).
That said you may want to research the active ingredient(s) in the Strike dewormer (usually Hygromycin B which is an antibiotic). I'm not saying it won't work or that it is not the right product for your unique situation, but for worms there are better (IMO) products on the market.
