I have a flock of 9 chickens currently. All mixed. Some of my hens are almost 2 years old and I have 2 3 month old OE. My one Austrolorp just tonight started acting strange. She’s acting as if she can’t see, her feathers are falling out very easily and she’s running away from us as if she’s disoriented. All of my other chickens are acting fine. Their poops are normal, they’re eating normal I clean their chicken coop about every two weeks and change and clean their water every couple of days. They were vaccinated for Mericks disease when they are chicks and given medicated chick starter grower feed till they were of laying age. They get grit and calcium and for the most part are laying pretty well. They get a soy free diet similar to scratch and peck food. I think it’s called New Country Organics or something like that. She has some runny poop so maybe worms? I looked close and saw no mites or anything on her body. Her feathers look great, at least the ones she has left. I feel terrible and scared she’s not going to get better. Anything would help. TIA

Sorry your question was missed and thankfully Stipenvlerk found it.
A picture would be helpful and also a picture of your coop and do you use pine shavings for litter?
I feel water should be changed daily especially during the summer months, old water breeds disease.
Losing feathers can be caused by lack of protein or mites.
I would buy some Poultry Drench for extra vitamins to start until someone else pipes in with an idea.
I read a few posts and they say to give hard boiled eggs for added protein to help the feathers grow back.
