We are located about an hour and twenty minutes north east of Seattle. It’s pretty populated just south and west of us. Poultry seems to be somewhat big in these parts. We don’t show are go to shows or swaps.
Mixed chicks go for $5. Rarer breed chicks $10 to $15.
Laying pullets/hens $20 - $40. Desired breeds go for $60 to $80.
Cockerels large enough to eat $10 to $20. Desired roos for breeding go for $50.
I’m really surprised on hatching egg prices around here. I was selling rare breed mix hatching eggs for $5 per dozen and other sellers weren’t happy. They sell their regular barnyard mix hatching eggs for $20 per dozen. So I upped mine to $10. It makes ZERO sense to me, as I sell the same organic fed eggs for eating at $5 per dozen. Same eggs! Just rinsed and refrigerated. The hatching eggs stay stored in the coop and get shifted daily. That’s it.
