Chicken problems

First of all let me say this is an awesome site!! The wealth of knowledge is truly overwhelming. I am probably posting something that has been covered before but I am desperate for help so please forgive me.

My Black Jersey giants are showing some problems. One of my hens is almost bare on her back. Here is a picture.

My roo is showing around his tail.

From the quick searches I made I am leaning towards mites/lice?

My wife is freaking out so any help is very much appreciated.

Okay First thought that comes to mind is molting or pecking, I would be checking into both. Molting last a few weeks and they feathers will grow back, don't worry. They just don't look pretty! Then you have some pecking, if this is the case, some one needs to be seperated for time.

thanks for the prompt reply. Continuing on stupid questions... Do roosters molt?

Also I should add that it has been very wet here for weeks and I dont know if that would adversely effect them.
