Chicken Processors in NW Indiana

Where can I find a list of local chicken processors? We are looking at butchering our current flock and starting again in the spring.

Call and ask a local butcher shop if they process the birds. I used to use one in Odon before I started to process myself. If that doesn’t work, try the Purdue farms in your area.

I have called local butchers, and they don't anyone that will process outside chicks. I would like them butchered for my use.

So, this may be too far for you, but in West OH, there is this processor:

You can look at their site to get an idea of prices, and the process. They only process poultry it appears. But, in looking at their site, you may be able to find a way to search for more..for example, they are USDA certified/inspected. So, maybe USDA has a list of places per state that you can find to see what might be near to you.
