chicken,quail,canaries

Have the offer of some japanese quail,can they be kept with young chickens?Or in an aviary with canaries,budgerigars?

lots of debate with keeping with chickens, general concensus is not advised, but you can keep them with the canaries.

thanks for your input,will buy a triangular chicken coop for now,and in the outhouse at night as lots of badgers,foxes etc,here
