currrently i have 2 runs 2 coops, next to each other, mesh between so they all see eachother,
i have my main flock, and i have my 10weekers in the other,
there starting to sex out, and there a big bramaha breed, i want to release girls in my main pen, and keep boys for food at xmas or just after,
so my thoughts to allow them all more room was in my 2nd run (its open barn construction) i could at 4 foot add supports all around, and put in a hinged floor so there in the same area but raised up, this would allow the other chickens gaining birds more room, aswel as the leftovers getting same room,
sound good? its hinged to make easy cleaning and access,
forgive my kid style paint drawing
as you can see there is 2 sides all under roof, in my mind i dont seee a problem as they will have the same space as before and getting a few chickens removed to the main pen, mainpen now have access under the others so gain double floor space
