Chicken run question plus unfortunately STORY

So I had an unfortunate chain of events today. I was at a soccer game and my chickens were at my house free ranging when one of my parents friends showed up with his dog who kills birds. She killed one of my black Australorps sadly but only got one. It scared My other 11 chickens into our Christmas tree field. My dad decided to wait to see if they come back after a while. As he was sitting on our porch he saw a flock of turkeys fly which is very rare. Soon after he saw a coyote headed straight towards the area my chickens were in. He went and got a gun and shot at it but missed. It ran away though luckily. After about an hour oAfter about an hour and a half The rest of them came back safe and sound. So that leads me to my next question. It’s getting very dangerous for me to free range a lot in my area. I have 130 ft.² run that is covered but is small and doesn’t have grass in it. Is there anyway that I could make a paddock area that would give them more room to run but still contain them from animals on the ground. The good thing about my area is that there are not a lot of air predators. Could I use poultry netting? Any suggestions are appreciated thank you

I enclosed 1/3 acre of my property with electrified poultry netting powered with a 10,000 volt charger. Nothing has gotten them in their pen. I have the neighbors rotten dogs, coyote, fox, racoons, fishers, bob cats, black bear, etc. in my area.

Have you considered plowing or doing a light surface till, then sow grass and pasture seeds. Your run is fertilized with chicken poop just need to mix into the soil.

Yeah but with them constantly eating and trampling it would it not grow?

I hope that he's paying for the cost of the damage and keeping his dog leashed in the future.

I have NO patience for people who bring uninvited dogs to people's homes.

Yeah. I had no warning that he was coming so I never even thought of putting the chickens in

I'm not sure I understand the question.
It's electrified poultry netting, 42" tall with support strands. It has 8 hot strands spaced slightly wider apart as you go up the net. The very bottom strand is just poly rope.
You can clearly see the net in the background here.

The fence line is due for a weedwacking and vegetation killer treatment. I do that about 3-4 times a year.
You just turn off the fence and move the net back out of the way, weedwack close to the ground and spray an area about 1.5-2 feet wide then put the net back in the center of the area you weedwacked and sprayed and turn the fence back on. I do this after the birds have roosted on a dry evening when the next day is expected to be hot and sunny.
