Chicken run question?

I’m in the process of building my chicken run. Where I plan to put it has wild raspberries. can I leave the wild raspberries or should I remove them ?

My opinion is leave. They don't really stand a chance against chicken scratching but if they did, my chicken's LOVE blackberry bushes and the thorns never seem to be an issue like they are with my poor dogs foot pads.....

Thank you. Wasn’t sure of the thorns lol I know myself or the dogs don’t do well with them

I vote dig them out unless you like dealing with invasive plants.
There's wild blackberries surrounding my property and I constantly battle them everywhere. I was kinda hoping the chickens would help me get rid of the small patch inside their run, but they didn't seem to be interested in it at all in over a year and it's spreading more. Now I get to deal with it. They don't seem to be phased by the thorns though, I've seen my chickens eating wild blackberries before

Black raspberries and blackberries are very different. I'd leave black raspberries and take out blackberries.

I have no experience with blackberries and chickens.

But chickens definitely decimated my raspberries.

Raspberries and ducks had some mild coexistence.... if you want the raspberries to survive, being planted along the fence line is best.
