Chicken Run Sand Sifter

I have found the best run sifter for sand runs. This is a large fry basket from a restaurant supply store. I am able to dump in a shovel full and sift out all the yuck. Works great. You can see from the top of the pic how clean the sand comes. The bottom of the pic is stuff I still need to sift. Wanted to share. Sorry for the graphic pic.

good idea. the problem I've always had was finding something big enough to make the job go faster. this seems plenty big

I can fit two shovels full of sand mixture into it at one time and two hand sift it. The process takes some time still but it does a nice job and pretty inexpensive.

right. the one I have now is smaller, but its holes are quite big. I will have to look for something like this in the future
