Hello,

I am currently preparing to transition my chickens from an indoor location to the chicken coop/run which I've built for them. As I continually prepare my coop/run I've done a lot of research online on the different forms of water and feed containers.

While doing this research I came across water nipple's as an alternative to simple water containers. I currently have 1 one gallon water container and 1 half gallon feed container for my birds (4 Rhode Island Red's, 2 Jersey Giants and 4 Sebright Bantam's). At this point in their growth I am using almost a full container of food daily and change the water every-other-day.

Due to the amount of time this takes I am interested in learning more about the use of water nipples for chickens. This water supple seems much easier to handle since it can't be contaminated by waste droppings.

Has anyone used water nipples with their chickens? Was this easier than traditional water containers? Would you suggest this over water containers?
