Chicken saddle fit - ideas, concerns?

Got a saddle for our Wyandotte hen... Of our six hens, she's the only one showing any signs of 'wear and tear'



She seems to be tolerating it pretty well so far....



She only fussed at it a little so far...











Do people report any problems with these things, assuming they keep them on? Any issues with rubbing or chaffing around her armpits from the elastic? That seems like a possible risk of them. Do people leave them on all the time? Wondered what people's experiences were with these things, good and bad.

I would like to hear as well. I am considering making a couple for some hens I just got who have bloody backs. They look pretty awful.

So far she's still wearing it, and seems to have forgotten about it. It's staying on. I like the one we ordered, it's real sturdy fabric.

She wasn't bloody yet, but she was losing feathers.

I've never used one, not sure I ever will....
.....but someone linked her video in another thread about how to put them on the chicken which something I always wondered about.

I was very impressed and am surprised it's not linked on her website
