Aloha from Hawaii,
I used a Chicken saddle on my RIR for the first time after reading about them. You see, my poor girl's back was all clawed up by Mr Rooster and after many months I watched hopelessly by, while it just got worse. Until- drum beat here..........I came on this forum to ask what I could do and was told to get a chicken saddle. At first my husband just laughed at me when I told him what I was going to do, but when it came in the mail he patiently helped me to get it on her. She didn't like it at all and did, as the brochure said she would, walk backwards and jump up and down for about a day and then she stopped fighting it, again, just as the brochure said she would. Well now, she is the best dressed chic in town and I see signs of her feathers growing back. It really works!
Just thought I would let you all know in case you are considering getting one.
