Chicken Safe Dog?

Golden Retrievers, and not those almost white "show things". We have had Goldens around our birds for a long time and raise litters around our birds. Never had any trouble, plus Goldens are AWESOME family dogs. We have a purebred Aussie that is horrible with people and kids but our Golden Retriever female is spectacular. She always wants to please and has had no obedience training, she just knows! She was simple to house train and took to the crate directly. I love her!

Maybe they're a bit small for what they're after, but I say a French Bulldog. No training necessary, liked them immediately. The neighbor's older Frenchy didn't need training either. He totally ignored them after the initial intro.

But my mom's Bichon/spaniel mix went ballistic over them right away and we have had no progress in training it out of her.

Step Daughter's pitbull, same thing, easy dog with other dogs, can train her to sit for them, but if they move fast or flap a wing, forget it, game on, she wants to kill them. Can't seem to train it out of her either.

I don't really know. I have a 5 year old Blue Heeler that I'm worried about. She would look at them in the brooder and was fine with them but when they are flapping around the yard? I just don't know that I'd trust her. She likes to chase the birds she sees in the yard so that's why I'm thinking no good. Therefore we're planning a run and no roaming the yard for our Reds. Sydney thinks she needs to herd everything she comes around including people and cats so I figure she'd try it w/ chickens too.
