Chicken Shaming!

Just wanting to show you all the biggest bunch of freeloaders around. Spend their day lazing around, giving nothing in return. 6 months old! For shame! Walking around, looking like full grown dang chickens! Grrrr. No squatting, no eggs, but the egg song has been sung, the cockerel even sang it too-they sung it just to string me along.

I watch them like a hawk, I do, matey, ready to swoop down on that first egg! LOL. They only go from their coop/run to under this tree. Laziest chickens ever! With the cockerel laying around all the time like he's some kinda P-I-M-P!

Maybe they need you to read them a story..... From a chicken cookbook. Weigh them too that may get their attention!

I have explained the crock pot and how it works to mine...... Laying went up 20%.....just saying.

You are wise to start the shaming thread. It has been noticed that egg laying often begins very soon after the complaint is formally lodged on this site. Hope it works for you!! I bet your Australorp lays first.

Not to get your hopes up but the egg song was sung here too and like two days later kaboom, an egg. Still got one freeloader and she looks alot like your Rosie.

I'll lodge my formal complaint then! I've got an Olive Egger I'm waiting on and her Bantam friend. Even told myself I must have their age wrong but I couldn't be off by 6 weeks!

My Olive Egger just started laying and her eggs are gorgeous. Well worth waiting for

I'm feeding 10 chickens and 5 ducks and I got 6 eggs total for last 3 days. Of those, one is molting, one is a cockerel, 5 are 20 weeks and haven't started laying yet and the ducks are way too young. The ducks are supposed to be going to my daughter's place soon, so that will help, but still...
