Hello, im new to chickens just wondering if there is anyone on here from Canada ON closer to Norfolk County if so where do you recommend buying chickens also what type of chicken do i get that lays blue/green eggs and are they meat chickens as well as laying chickens
 
I don't know where the best place to get them from would be, but Easter Eggers, Ameraucanas, and Araucanas lay blue green eggs. I know lots of people that use White Leghorns for both meat and eggs, however they are more capable of producing more eggs than meat.

Just wondering.. Why is the color of the eggs most important to you? I'd rather have lots of nice big eggs and friendly chickens !!!also aren't the blue / green eggs smaller than most??
 
Honestly, I am a new chicken owner as well! I just got two SLW. But any who I wish I could help you as well but I sadly can't

I have various breeds of chickens and a colorful egg basket. My EE's are some of my best layers and their eggs would correspond to extra large grocery store eggs, but they're a lot prettier IMNSHO.
Why would you think chickens who lay colorful eggs would be unfriendly or lay small eggs?
