Well, I have been suspecting a snake for a while because the eggs were slowing down so much and then I would find them in the chicken run and not in the laying boxes. Well, my husband found it in a storage part of the chicken house. He held him down by the head and then for some unknown reason let it go thinking he would be able to get him, NOT. Now, everytime I go to get the eggs I pray really hard that that buggar is not in there. We did fill white plastic Easter eggs with sand and put them in the laying boxes hoping that he would eat them and die, any other suggestions? We did the snake away around the coop and run.

* eep!!--one suggestion: carry a big stick when you collect eggs! Or a pair of loppers. . . . Or BOTH!!!
