How offten do chicken snakes raid nests

I dont know how often it might happen but i can offer a remidy. You can put a rope on the ground all the way around your coop. Snakes will not cross the rope. Cowboys wouls put their rope around their bedding when sleeping out doors in the old days to keep snakes away while they sleep.
