Chicken started laying

I not new to raising chickens but I am a little puzzled, I had a 18 week old pullet lay a egg Friday and was to concern bout not getting any more for a couple days but now 4 days later no more eggs? I have my chickens on a timed light system lights come on at 4 am and go off at 8 pm plus they run outside during the day in a chicken run. I know they are young still but usually once they start they keep at it! My building is heated to stay 50 degrees at all times. Any idea what is going on ? They are on laying mash now been on it since week 16

There is no rhyme or reason to frequency of lay, especially for newly laying pullets. That is especially true during the shortest days of the year.

But still, new layers can be slow to get things going.

I get it but that doesn't mean they are doing the lighting program correctly.
