I purchased chickens from a hatchery, I ordered an assortment and I believe one of them is a cornish roaster. It is much bigger than the other chickens. I have no experience with this breed. It is not walking around and doesn't move when the others step on her (I'm just gonna assume it's a girl). I decided to pick her up and try to make her stand but she didn't she can "crawl" but doesn't get up and walk. I have moved her to her own place and put food and water close to her so she can get it. Like I said I don't know anything about this breed, I don't know if this is normal that they are just lazy (which I doubt) or if she somehow hurt her foot (don't know how she would), or if she is sick. I have been giving her the same feed and care as the other chicks so if there is something I should be doing different for her please let me know. She is only a month old, I would hate to lose her.

Thanks!!!

Hmmm... I'm not sure about this one. Does she seem unbalanced at all? Is she eating or drinking? Is she pooping? Are her legs sticking out straight or are they underneath her? Can you straighten out her legs yourself? Was she walking before?

Here's a link to some chicken podiatry information that may help but more information would make it easier to diagnose. https://sites.google.com/a/poultrypedia.com/poultrypedia/poultry-podiatry

Good Luck!

She was walking before. She is eating and drinking and her poop looks normal. She seems fine in every other way. Her legs are under her, when I lifterdher her legs were straight. I will check out the link you sent. Thank you!
