I have raised several varieties of chickens, from chicks to adults; Lavender Americanas, Blue Americanas, EE, Australorps & a few others but none are as trusting & at ease in my hands as my Cemanis. They literally fall limp with eyes closed while I gently rub them from head to tail feathers. They are as gentle & trustworthy as any pet I have owned.

I have one sweet angel. Can’t say the same for my RIR. My RIR is a little devil. She chases us and if you get closer then five feet she will literally attack your head. My sweetest chicken passed over a year ago. She was a buff Orpington and she would sit in your lap and sometimes lay her egg on your lap!
