Hey everyone,
I have a beautiful 6yr old faverol. She's been sluggish for a few weeks now. She's not really standing up and struggling to hold her head up. 2 weeks ago she perked up and was walking a little around her little coop. We've just had xtropical cyclone Alfred which brought with it very damp and quite cool weather and she has declined again. I've wormed her. Her poos look healthy. She's on good feed and has fulvic and humid acid in her water. Just a little. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

I was wondering if a lack of vitamin D might present like this at all.

Does she lay eggs anymore? Is she currently eating or drinking? What do you feed her? Has she lost weight when you pick her up and feel of her? How does her crop feel— empty and flat, partly full, full, firm, doughy, or puffy? Is her crop empty first thing in morning before eating or drinking? Does she have an enlarged lower abdomen under her vent. If so, is it squishy or hard? I would offer some vitamins/electrolytes or vitamin B complex daily. A small bowl of wet chicken feed and scrambled egg would be good to offer. She is older for a faverolles, and she may have a reproductive disorder such as salpingitis, or is generally failing in health.
Calcium with vitamin D 300 mg daily for a few days might help if she is having trouble laying an egg.
