Chicken Toe Problems

I noticed about month or two ago that my year old Red Sex Link hen was limping. As of having over 100 spoiled hens you can occasionally step on a foot. As of the hundreds of times that's happened no injury has resulted, not even a limp. When I saw this hen of mine limping I assumed that she must have just had her toe stepped on and it was hurting to walk on. I was out just the other day playing with my hens as I do when I noticed her limping still. As I looked towards her I noticed her toe had a giant bump on it.

I have no idea what this bump is. I don't know if it's fluid filled or not. My dad who felt it today as I held her said it could be but we don't know. Does anyone have any suggestions of what it could be or how to help her? I'm really concerned for my hen because I don't have an idea of what it is whether it's an infection or an injury or something.

OH I sure hope you get some answers on this as that looks pretty painful

Poor baby! Good luck with this! If I were you I think I would try the antibiotics just in case it's an infection.
