Chicken Tractor Feeding?

i have a coop + run already and my 3 hens just eat layer feed.

I'm trying to understand exactly what a chicken tractor is and wondering if I have to put their feed in the tractor? Or just oyster shells? Im only putting the hens in the tractor for a few hours each day to help my garden. Are they ok just eating the grass and bugs?

A chicken tractor is simply a movable coop/run... If they are only going to be in the tractor for a few hours grazing, just make sure they have water available in the tractor, they can get their fill of feed and oyster once returned to their normal the coop and run...

But, if they are going to be in the tractor all day, you'll want to put some feed, water AND a nest box in there. Also, make sure they have adequate shade.
