Well, we are at a point where we should figure out how to finish this out. There are tons of different designs we can do from here, where doors will go etc. At this point, I can definitely see where pre-planning comes in handy. ha haa

Oh yeah, the dimensions are 6' long by 3' wide. The bottom part is 2' high and the trusses/roof are about 2 1/2' tall I think. I have never built anything like this so who knows how it will turn out...but it IS fun!

Anyways...here are the pics! Suggestions & comments are welcome!

Very nice! I think you are going to need something over the peak of the roof, though, so it doesn't leak. Please show more pics as you go along!

Thanks to you all!

Right now I am leaning towards building two nests on each side and having a perch in the center, with a ladder up to one side. I will put doors on each "nest", 1 door on one end of the bottom area and 1 door on one side of the "roof".

Also, I am designing it so the whole roof section can be lifted off the "run" section.

I'm excited!! Our 6 year old and I can't wait to get it painted!!

Edit: One thing I have noticed is the weight starts to add up FAST!

That makes two of us! ha haa *Note to self for next coop* Add interior stuff before roof!

Anyway, I can remove the whole roof so that is how I will add the floor. I am using the siding that I used on the roof for the two floors. That way it is water (poopy) resistant and will make it easier to clean.
