Chicken Tractors and Sprinklers

I've been lurking online for a while now trying to do all my research before I pitch the idea to my wife. We live in the suburbs so I'm thinking a chicken tractor will work the best for us. Do those of you with tractors worry about the sprinklers? I've seen some really nice plans and designs on here and most are made of wood, do you move them away from your sprinklers at night or just don't worry about it?

I have a "duck tractor" and my mallards love the sprinkler. Plus it washes away the poo. If its going to be outside and you designed for the weather, it should be fine. Your chickens might get a little ticked though.https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=65292-chicken-duck-tractor

I was thinking exposed 2x4's, we are planning on having a roof over most of it, but just worried about the sides. Most of the coops I see in the coop section have exposed 2x4's.

As long as you prime and paint it will hold up for many years.
