My Dominique seems to have a tumor on one side of her back. It doesn't seem to impede her in any way or bother her. She doesn't mind if you pet the area either. All of her feathers are intact. I suppose it could be a deformity except that it seems to be getting larger. She is still laying and the other hens aren't bothering it. My question is: should I euthanise her now or wait until it is having an effect on her life? Thanks for your opinions.

If it's getting larger, it's probably a tumor or a abcess. If it is not painful or inflamed, it is more likely a tumor. How old is the bird, how long ago did you first notice the lump, and how much has it increased in size since you first noticed it? There are a couple of diseases in chickens that can cause tumors/cancer. Merek's is common in young birds, and is transmittable to other birds. As a first step, I would recommend isolating her from the rest of the rest of the flock. Maybe you could post a picture?
