Howdy all,

I've been browsing these forums for over a year and figured I'd finally register. I'm going to post my new coop plans to get critiqued!

We have a small flock of hens that we love so much we spoil them to death. When it's not super cold, we grow black solder fly larva for their treats. We also throw some rye grass seed and they just love to eat it all up when it's sprouting. The next coop I'm designing will be much better than the last - with an automatic door, heater, waterer, and fan.

We love to take our chickens traveling. They are so obedient to stay near us when we let them pasture and they get back into the car when we tell them we are getting ready to go. They love digging in the sand at the beach too.

Welcome from Northern California.

I've been getting a setup ready for Black Soldier Flies and I raise red worms as a treat for my chickens as well. I hope your beach is secluded and doesn't have dogs that can harm your hens. Here all the beaches are overrun with dogs.
