Hi, my family just got home from a 3 day camping trip. My oldest son took care of the chickens while we were gone. He knows how to take care of them. When we got home some of the chickens were trapped in the coop. He probably propped the coop door up instead of completely removing it and it fell. My younger son did it once. Anyway, it was hot in there. We got them some fresh water with hydrohen and they seemed ok, just thirsty. However, after checking the coop, we found one of the chickens laying against the big door. She couldn't walk. She tries to take a step and falls over and lays down.
I figured maybe it was heat exhaustion affecting her more than the others so I brought her inside, splashed a little water on her and put her in front of the fan and AC. I gave her her own bowl of hydrohen and a small handful of feed. She ate and drank.
Then, I noticed she was breathing heavy and looked like she was pushing out an egg, but no egg. Some of her feathers are plucked out, only little pins left, especially around her vent. We put her in a warm bath but she is still pushing and breathing heavy. She still can't walk. We noticed a bulge in her abdomen under her vent but she doesn't like us getting near to investigate.
I'm pretty worried and this is my first flock. I have no idea where to go from here. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Have you looked up chicken vent prolapse? I hope someone can help you more. I have only started owning chickens within months so don't know what's wrong....

Her vent area, tail feathers, stomach, some on her wings and a few on the back of her neck. How do I check for mites? Could this be multiple problems maybe?

Do you see any bigs around her vent? Hold her like I said and check all over on the shafts of her feathers.
