Hmmm, anyone here raising the new breed of 'wingless' chicken? Apparently they're all the rage with the Poultry suppliers!

Its not that they are not making them! Read an article (Buffalo area newspaper-Hot Buffalo wings originated in Buffalo obviously). The shortage is due to the increased demand for them for the Super Bowl. Happens every year and the Pizza and Wing places usually suck-up the additional cost but state because of the economy this year, they will be passing the cost on to consumers. Another month and they will be plentiful and lower in price!

I'm sorry, that was a tongue-in-cheek statement in response to the gentleman I quoted from the OP's news article

I'm sure it's the superbowl driving up prices, it does every year.
