Any thoughts on running chicken wire along the inside studs rather than board them up? We live in northern GA so the weather is pretty mild with an occasional bitter cold winter. Just really concerned if this shortcut may open us up to predators. Don't want our attempt to save money open us up to heartache in the end. I included some pics. It's a pretty solid old structure; just need to board up the one hole in the back. We're going to frame/cut windows to the left/right and build a wood floor.

I would just get a few sheets of 3/8" plywood and cover the interior walls. Fast, easy, and for that size coop it won't cost more than 25 bucks. You can probably even get away with non PT wood. Cut openings up high for ventilation or just cover the mid and lower areas. This will provide a draft free coop and you won't have to worry about predators or heavy rains going through an aging wall.

Yeah, I got to looking at chicken wire vs. plywood at the store and I really don't think it'd save me that much money. PLus, I'm concerned about gopher rats chewing through the wire.
