Once I build my run, what is the best wire to use for predator proofing? I have issues with stray cats and raccoons. I am brand new to this and don't want to lose any of my girls.

Once I build my run, what is the best wire to use for predator proofing? I have issues with stray cats and raccoons. I am brand new to this and don't want to lose any of my girls.

1/2 inch hardware cloth with an apron along the bottom. Also you might want double protection on your latch if raccoons are a problem. They are smart and can often open easy latches! Good luck!
