Chicken Wire!!!

Okay.....how on earth do you install chicken wire so it's flat?????? I've put a million staples in and its all wavy...help!

It's very hard to get it to lie flat and smooth. That chicken wire is worse than hardware cloth for that!

You can try fastening the end of the wire to a length of board, and then use a come-along to VERY SLIGHTLY put tension on the wire. You can't pull hard or the hex shapes will collapse and you'll have a bigger mess then!

Good luck...I usually jsut give up and accept a few wrinkles.

LOL! This is a question for the ages.

The only way I've found is to put it on sections one at a time so you can lay the sections flat on the ground and STRETCH the cricken wire until it's tight. Of course, then you have to assemble the sections.

If you're putting it on walls or a ceiling that are already built, good luck.

Harware cloth is much easier to make look nice.

hey i'm okay with that...as long as you all didn't have some kind of magic flat thingy that i wasn't aware of..it's safe and secure...so it'll just have to be ugly

I agree that stretching seems to be the best way to get it to look decent.
