Chicken with fever

I have a RIR that is hot to the touch, she is rolling her head back and panting. I am giving her water w/probiotics with oral syringe. She is not eating or drinking on her own. I have tried to cool her down soaking her feet. cold water bottles in nest, in cool dark room with a fan on. She is about 5years old. She perked up yesterday but this morning she seems worse. I have never euthanized a chicken, it may be time. Is there anything else I should try before putting her down?

Fever is sign of infection, and only bacterial infection can be treated with antibiotics. Is there any swelling in her body? When did she lay her last egg? Is there any unusual discharge?
