Chicken with no tail

I have a buff Orf. that I got 2 years ago that never grew a tail. There is just a lump on the back on her back, like a Cochin. She also lays shell-les eggs. She looks heathey, all of her other feathers came in nice.

She is top of the pecking order and was first to lay her shell-les eggs. Im just wondering what is wrong with this bird.

How long has she been laying? How many shell-less eggs have you gotten. It's not uncommon for young birds to underdeveloped eggs. Sometimes a lack of calcium can be the problem. Do you provide oyster shell as a free feed supplement?

If she is an older hen who has been laying for a while, try feeding a 20+ protein feed w/ free choice oystershell..
