Ok so I have confirmed visually that my chicken does have round worms. I bought the safeguard dewormer for goats. I know to give her .5cc so my next questions are:

1. How long till I see the effects that it is working?
2. How many times do I give it to her and how often?
3. How long till I can put her back with the other hens?

If she has been with your flock, they probably should all be wormed. Her poos could have infected the others. You may want to just put "roundworm treatment," in the search box . People there will be able to answer your other questions.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Within 3 days, the worms should be all killed off. But you will need to redose your birds in 10 days to get all the eggs that have been hatched. If one has worms, they all do. So dose everybody. You can keep her with the others.

Discard all eggs for 2 weeks after the last dosage of wormer.
