About a week ago I notice one of my Old English hens laying in the run and not really moving around. When I went to check on her it was pretty clear that one of her legs was either sprained or broken. I can't tell exactly what is wrong and I don't know what to look for. I isolated her and I'm monitoring her quite a bit figuring that she would slowly improve but all thats really happening is that she learned to incorporate her wings in her walking around. For the most part I pick her up and bring her closer to the feeder/ waterer every time I check on her. Other then that leg shes 100%.

Could someone please let me know what they did to fix this or maybe post me a link that could help me out.

Thanks.

k, feel both legs, feeling for disrepencies, try to asertain where in the leg the problem is (is it in the joint, hip, knee or mid shaft between which bits. where does it hurt, can she spread her toes, pinch in between toes to see if she can feel foot (do this on both legs so you have a baseliine) it is very possible to splint a break but you must know where it is first:)
to help her you need more information.
if you can, a vet is always the best option.
good luck and feel free to keep in touch.
olive.
